The District of Chetwynd has an active and effective Chamber of Commerce working in the community to promote the town to residents and visitors alike.
The Visitor Centre, strategically located on the major highway through the town, is open year round. With over 10,000 vehicles passing it daily, this is an excellent opportunity to promote Chetwynd and the region, and the town is to be commended for its decision to have the centre open year-round, rather than seasonally.
Strong media partnerships have been established in the community, and media representatives have become members of the committees for both CiB and WLC committees.
Finally, the town is to be commended for its annual “Chetwynd Trade Show” - a great initiative to promote business to business, and to the public.
